Kisampa Bush Retreat
The Kisampa Bush retreat is an eco-friendly wilderness safari lodge that is particularly proud of and comfortable in its rustic simplicity, proof of its commitment to leave a minimal human footprint in its favoured location at the Kisampa Private Conservation Area, bordering the Saadani National Park. Kisampa is perefect for families with numerous child-friendly activities. Apart from having its own wildlife attractions in the Kisampa Private Conservation Area, it is also a good base from which to enjoy a safari to Tanzania Eastern Safari Circuit Destinations including Saadani National Park and Silma Beach.
The main camp area is a huge thatched communal bungalow with huge comfortable sofas and a small well stocked reference library. Breakfast is usually freshly brewed tea or coffee delivered to your bungalow Breakfast and lunch are usually served in an open-aired Pavilion. Evenings begin with sundowner drinks around an open fire surrounded by the vast open plans. Dinner at Kisampa is usually served under the stars around a campfire.
Kisampa has many community initiatives that they are happy to involve guests in – like Pack for a Purpose in which travelers save a few kilos of their luggage for supplies to area schools and children.
Accommodation at the Kisampa Bush Retreat
Kisampa Bush Retreat accommodation facilities comprise 6 large thatched bungalows with ensuite bathrooms. The bungalows can accommodate a total of 14 guests at a time keeping your Africa safari experience intimate. Each bungalow features a hand-crafted double bed, a hammock and a table with chairs. Each bungalow has its own private bathroom with an open roof to which hot water is delivered upon request.
